Kaytrixx a.k.a Kabochi Gakau was born at Pandya Memorial hospital in Mombasa on the 12th of June 1989.
Kaytrixx went to nursery(Busy Bee Nursery school), primary(Tudor Junior Primary school) and Secondary (Allidina Visram High school) in Mombasa.
Kaytrixx completed his secondary school education at a very young age of 14 and joined campus at the age of 15.
Kaytrixx started showing interest in Dj-ing immediately after joining campus (Moi University, Main Campus Eldoret) at a friends party after Dj-ing for a few minutes on a computer using atomix. This pushed Kaytrixx to get VIRTUAL DJ which he mastered in a very short time and was given the name “KAYTRIXX” by Campus mates which he has stuck with ever since.
Kaytrixx joined the “Pilsner Mfalme” competition in late 2008 when still in campus and made it all the way to the finals in Nairobi. Dj Krowbar emerged the winner while DJ Tibbs was runner up, Dj Joe Mfalme was third and Kaytrixx a distant Fifth.
qKaytrixx landed a job at “CodeRED Entertainment” in January 2009 and started doing events under the unit. Kaytrixx stayed at CodeRED for 2 years having done a countless number of events including Str8Up Live and VIBE CITY on KTN together with Dj Stylez and Eve D Souza.
In January 2011, Kaytrixx left CodeRED Entertainment and embarked on his Solo career which saw him do gigs all over the country and get a re-call to KTN for the Str8Up TV show. Kaytrixx also landed a Radio deal at Homeboyz radio for the Hangover Radio show that aired every Saturday from 3 – 5pm.
Kaytrixx also managed to frequent Rwanda and Tanzania for events in this period.
Kaytrixx currently is the CEO of Spin Cycle Entertainment Limited.

TV SHOW – STR8UP LIVE
Kaytrixx is the co-host and VJ of Str8Up Live which is a Live music mix entertainment magazine show that airs every Saturday from 11am – 1pm on KTN (Kenya Television network).
Kaytrixx conducts interviews, does links and mixes the music for the show
He has been on str8Up since 2010.
The show is widely watched and has a large social media as well as on ground following that has seen Kaytrixx grow into a well recognizable brand.
The show now includes the talented Spin Cycle Dj’s.

Spin Cycle is a vision that Kaytrixx had to create a conducive working environment for Dj’s in the country.
The company allows for growth and nurturing of these individuals not only in the Dj sector but in other areas that may interest them.
The company boasts of talented Dj’s in Mombasa and Nairobi who run weekly events, TV shows and radio shows.
The company has other departments such as, photography, videography, sound, lighting, creative services, consultation services, event management, artist management, marketing services (Music, Video, Events, Products), production services (Video and audio) among others.
The company is versatile and rapidly growing.

Niko Na Safaricom Live 2013.
Kaytrixx was picked as one of the 7 Niko Na Safaricom Live 2013 artists.
NNSL is a Tour that was sponsored by Safaricom and went around Kenya doing the biggest shows in various towns.Kaytrixx Visited places such as Machakos, Meru, Nairobi, Kisumu and performed for crowds ranging from 10,000 – 20,000 in all venues.
These concerts grew Kaytrixx’s fan base to all areas of the country.
Kaytrixx learnt how to sing, rap and perform while at NNSL as he did renditions of Tuendelee by Kleptomaniax, Compe by Bamboo, Katika by Vultures and his new song “INAKAM”.
Kaytrixx also incorporated dancers, beat boxers, drummers, violinists, keyboard players, bass guitar and various other instrument players in his routine.
Kaytrixx was also the OFFICIAL DJ for the Safaricom Rugby 7s that happened in major towns around Kenya.

FUTURE PLANS
A quick summary of Kaytrixx’s future plans;
Kaytrixx plans to build Spin Cycle Entertainment limited into a well recognizable in East Africa in a period of 5 years. This will involve building the team and departments to be self sustaining and profitable.
Kaytrixx plans to launch an online TV channel in that will broadcast content from the SpinCycle Dj’s. (Video Mixes, Club shows, Tours, Radio Interviews, Creative segments).
Kaytrixx plans to start up a Dj school to cater for the large market of young and upcoming individuals. This will make it easier to spot talent as well for Spin Cycle.
Kaytrixx plans to build his countrywide tour #SpinCycleParties.
Kaytrixx plans to work with big brands and corporates in coming years to build his brand as well as Spin Cycle Entertainment
